Understanding when your payment is processed

Credited Date:

The "credited" date is the day your payment is officially applied to your account. This date is important because it decides if your payment is on time and helps determine if you will be charged any late fees. It also affects how interest is calculated. So, it's important to make sure your payment is credited by the due date to avoid extra charges.

Payments received by 11:59 PM Eastern Time will be credited to your account as of that day.  Payments received after that time will be credited to your account as of the next business day*.

Posted Date:

The "posted" date (evening) is when your payment will be displayed online as a transaction in your account activity and applied to your account balance.  Please note that it may take up to 7 days from the date of your payment before it is reflected in your available credit.
